Originally released in 1991 as Edda Művek’s twelfth studio album under Proton Records, Szélvihar later received remastered CD editions (2010) and a 2024 remastered vinyl pressing. The LP features the iconic “biker” cover art that reflects the band’s self-styled “motorcycle image” of the era.

The album blends hard rock and pop-rock, featuring both full-band tracks and instrumental compositions. The extended instrumental “Hajtóvadászat” is a solid highlight known for its driving energy

With a runtime of approximately 50 minutes, it became the longest and final studio album on vinyl by Edda at that time . Thematically, the album shifts from political undertones to embrace a more motorcycle‑driven rock atmosphere, symbolized visually and musically.
